ABOUT THE "GLOBAL HOUSE"

Q1 Is there a curfew?

There is no curfew. However, in order not to disturb other residents from midnight until early morning refrain to be noisy.

Q2 Can a Japanese citizen stay?

Japanese citizen too can stay.

Q3 Can I smoke ?

There's no smoking in our house within the house.

Q4 Can friends or family members stay at the house?

It is forbidden to accommodate strangers. It is possible to accommodate relatives (prior notice required) at 2,000 yen per night. Friends can come to visit from morning to 10 pm.

Q5 Who cleans the house ?

Our staff will clean living room, showers, toilet and common space. Kitchen must be kept clean by residents. Tenants must also dispose of garbage.

Q6 What is life support ?

Our staff is here to help you in case of tough time facing life in a foreign country: difference of language and culture, but also necessary bureaucratic steps such as opening a bank account or public health system applications, ecc...

Q8 Are rooms' doors lockable?

Yes, all room are lockable.

REGARDING CONTRACT PROCEDURE

Q1 What documents are required to signing a contract?

First you need a valid Japanese visa. Than, in order of importance, passport or residence card pictures or copy and application form.

Q2 Is a guarantor necessary ?

No need for guarantor as you can put the school where you're studying or your working place address and an emergency contact (home country) as guarantee.

Q4 Are deposit or key money needed?

Absolutely not required!

Q5 What does the monthly rent include?

Basically electricity, gas, water fees, Internet and cable TV fees (except option channels) are included.

Q6 What is the shortest term for a contract ?

Contract terms are negotiable at the time of the first inquiry.

REGARDING RESERVATION

Q1 How to make a reservation?

We accept inquiries by email or phone. If you want to see the room first, you must take appointment before. Once you decided the room we'll send you the application form. We need you ti fill it out and send it back to us with a copy or picture of your passport. Than we need you to pay the first installment of monthly rent. Once payment is confirmed your reservation is completed. We accept
payment bank transfer or by PayPal. This payment will cover your first month of stay.

Q2 Can I cancel the reservation ?

In case of refund you'll be charged of bank commission fees.
Notice 15 days from reservation date: 100% refund
16th day till 30th days: 50% refund
After 1 month from reservation: No refund

Q3 Can I see the room before confirm my reservation?

If you are already in Japan you can come and see the room. In case the room is still occupied you can take a look to a similar spare room, however if the tenant agrees to let you see the room you can preview it.

Q4 Regarding early reservation (2 month in advance)

If the room is vacant reservation is possible. However it's may be better consult us before.

REGARDING Moving out

Q1 What should I do for moving out?

It is necessary to notice us 3 month prior moving out by email. We start to calculate the 3 months from the day we receive your notice so please be careful with notice date.

Q2 What should I do until moving out?

Before moving out our staff must check your room condition and bicycle. After receiving moving notice by email our staff will confirm you the day of room check. Please clean the room before leaving and trash all stuff you're not gonna take with you (disposing of big stuff such as futon, is at your expense). An extra fee will be charged to tenants who carelessly broke or damaged house properties.
